Lettings

As a born & bred Yeovilian I have been working at Laceys since 1982 having joined the Firm straight after College.

Qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor I became involved in the Lettings industry back in 1985 and have inevitably seen many changes over the years with the rise in popularity of the Rental and Buy to Let market. Despite the time involved in the business I still relish the opportunity to be able to help people find their chosen home.

Outside of work I am a Member of the Yeovil Rotary Club and recently held the position of President, and with whatever other spare time is available relish the joys of triathlon.

Lettings

I have been with Laceys since 2003 (with a break in 2019), I began in sales and moved over to rentals in 2009.
My role is primarily repairs and the general maintenance of properties.
I have active input in sorting issues for both landlord and tenants on a daily basis. The role can be challenging sometimes but no two days are the same “variety is definitely the spice of life”. When I am not working I love nothing better than to go for a hike on the coast and have recently taken up mountain biking….this could be challenging in the future.

I joined Laceys in 2006, and take responsibility for the tenant applications and ensuring a smooth transaction from the viewing to the move in day, as well as the day to day tasks of working in a vibrant and busy office.
In my spare time I love to do Pilates and to run and have entered several half marathons and charity races.

Lettings

I joined Laceys in 2019, and have been in the industry since 2004.

My main role here is to visit our rental properties on a quarterly basis, checking that our tenants are happy and the houses are being well looked after. I pride myself in giving completely honest guidance to all of our customers, I like to know that I’ve always done my best to help.

It won’t take anyone long to realise that I am dog mad! When I’m not spoiling my dogs, I’m usually walking in woodland, reading a book at the beach or camping!

Lettings

I joined Laceys in 2023, and my principal role is to support the tenant move in and move out processes for our very busy Lettings Department.

Previously I worked at a corporate agency, assisting the End of Tenancy and Repair Departments across a range of offices.

In my spare time I play the guitar and backing vocals across a wide range of music genres and cannot wait to storm the stage once again!

Lynne Singer

Lynne Singer

Sales and Lettings Administrator

I started with Laceys in January 2015 with the sales team. One of my roles is the administration of sales documents, advertising and to meet and greet people as they come into Laceys office. I have also taken over a role in accounts looking after all rental payments and liaising with tenants if there are any issues concerning these matters.

At home, I live with my long term partner and two teenagers, so life is busy and interesting! The small spare time I have I enjoy running and Pilates. If I can, I also enjoy cooking which is most appreciated by all the family… I hope!!

Sales

Having been in the industry since 1995, I have gained experience valuing and managing offices in a few local towns throughout Somerset. My principal role in Laceys is that of Valuer, covering Yeovil and the surrounding villages. Having worked in Yeovil before, I know the area well and will give honest and friendly guidance to both sellers and buyers. Outside of work my family time is so important - having four girls both myself and my wife are always kept very busy and entertained, so we try to do as much as we can as a family when the time is available.

Sales

I have been an Estate Agent since 2005 working in both Somerset and Dorset. Specialising in town and country residential sales I have had the responsibility of valuing and selling apartments to farms and everything in between.
I have a passion for marketing quirky and interesting homes and love the fact that in our line of work no two days are ever the same.

I really do enjoy helping customers fulfil their dreams and believe that the relationship built between us as Estate Agents and our clients is paramount to helping the buying and selling process run as smoothly as possible.

Prior to joining Laceys in 2022 I had worked for an independent Estate Agency in Dorset where I had been since 2011. With my two children both rapidly growing up I felt that it was time to re-establish my roots in the town in which I grew up and work closer to home where I live in Misterton.

Outside of work I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my family and friends. I have two daughters so life is never dull and we can often be found exploring National Trust Gardens.

Sales

I joined Laceys in 2023 as a Sales Negotiator. Before moving to Yeovil with my husband and daughter, I worked for a nationwide estate agent based in North Somerset.

I’m very passionate about finding my clients their new property, whether that’s their dream home or an investment project. Outside of work I enjoy shopping trips, dining out with my friends and family, and Holidaying abroad.

David MacLauchlan BSc (Hons) MRICS

Managing Director, Chartered Surveyor

I started my property career in 1994 as a junior Sales Negotiator in Chard, soon progressing to Yeovil to head-up the Sales Department of David Lacey Estate Agents at the tender age of 22. During an eight year spell in Yeovil, I studied successfully for my BSc in Estate Management degree at Reading University. In 2003 I commenced my on-the-job Chartered Surveyor training with the Valuation Office Agency in Exeter, gaining Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2005. Following a spell in Taunton for a well-known regional firm of surveyors, I was head-hunted for a surveyor/commercial agency role in Yeovil, which resulted in the formation of RMW Surveyors LLP in 2008. In 2011 the opportunity arose for me to return to Laceys, ultimately to replace David Lacey himself in 2012.

Whilst continuing to undertake professional work, predominantly to support the Sales and Lettings business streams, I also have a very hands-on daily presence in the office. Whilst my fully in-house team have a great deal of autonomy, I am always available to provide support and advice, ensuring that all our clients and customers are treated fairly and the business is a success. If you’re a prospective Vendor or Landlord, come and see what makes Laceys so different from our competition – we really do pride ourselves in the levels of customer care we provide.

I am also very much a family man, with a wonderfully supportive wife and two sons. With my workaholic tendencies, this leaves very little time for anything else (although I am a keen Formula 1 and tennis watcher!)
